I can gladly announce that, among several other papers of our research group HCIG, the study effort led by me, supported by a User Experience Design bachelor student at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt, and supervised by Prof. Andreas Riener, was accepted for publication at the 2020 ACM Conference on Automotive User Interface and Interactive Vehicular Applications, after peer review. In the study, we investigate the effects of non-invasive olfactory stimulation on motion sickness, when time is used productively during automated driving. It didn’t go too well!
Additionally, I also have the opportunity to organize the next iteration of the “AutoWork” workshop with Philipp Wintersberger, Andrew Kun, Orit Shaer, Stephen Brewster and Andreas Riener. We are aiming to work on enabling productivity and well-being in automated vehicles with fellow researchers by utilizing a novel 2-part virtual workshop format. Don’t hesitate to contact any of us for more information!
Pre-prints of all mentioned papers are available on request.
